Eden Awards for excellence aim at regeneration for 2011

As this year's finalists are in process of being selected for the annual theme Regeneration of Physical Sites, the EDEN Awards program is also looking inwards at its own regeneration scheme.  The program seeking to promote alternative models of tourism across European destinations of Excellence is undergoing itself a phase of regeneration that is in its finalizing stages and shoul be operational for 2012.  The 5th network meeting in Malta earlier this year in April has set the road map for a self-sustaining organization that will have a new legal entity starting September 2011 so as to steer operations and plans until 2017.
